Wildfire Awareness Workshop Part 1

Wildfires are a hot topic, literally and figuratively.  With the ‘traditional’ fire season upon us, now is the time to educate yourself on wildfire awareness from the experts.  Learn about the history and ecology of Colorado’s Front Range forests, the wildfire challenges we face, and what can be done—presented from both public and private land perspectives. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) will host Jefferson Conservation District experts, Matt McLemore, Forest Program Manager and Kyle Weber, Conservation Forester, Kelleigh McConnaughey, Fire Adapted Communities Project Planner for the Conifer Wildland Division, Elk Creek/ Conifer Fire Protection Districts and Kelby Woodard, Forest & Mitigation Program Manager for Clear Creek Watershed & Forest Health Partnership (CCWFHP).

This community outreach event is free.  RSVP requested.
