Groundbreaking Ceremony: New Environmental Education & Community Center at Sacramento Creek Ranch

Join Mountain Area Land Trust as we kick off construction on the new Environmental Education & Community Center at Sacramento Creek Ranch (SCR)!

The iconic barn on Mountain Area Land Trust’s 71-acre property will be renovated into 2,200 sq. ft. of classroom and administrative space, expanding conservation and educational programming and providing a year-round environmental space to anchor outdoor learning in all seasons. Special thanks to Lakewood-based Himmelman Construction who will manage the project.

Opening in early 2026, MALT’s Center will host environmental workshops, volunteer stewardship, research partnerships, public talks, and hands on conservation training —connecting schools, nonprofits, researchers, and the community with conservation in action.
