Solar Eclipse + Coffee, Donuts and Conservation – Save Clear Creek’s Front Yard
Join Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) for a special viewing of the solar eclipse on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 – 11 a.m. at Floyd Hill Meadow, which is adjacent to Clear Creek High School and Middle School. MALT team members will provide solar shades, donuts and coffee. The eclipse starts around 10:30 a.m., so be sure to arrive early to get prepared!
Friends will also learn the steps that are being taken to permanently protect the Meadow and how they can help. Please RSVP to email@example.com, so we can be sure to have enough solar glasses available!
Where: Floyd Hill Meadow (near 53 Beaver Brook Canyon Rd, Evergreen)
Day: Saturday, Oct. 14
Time: 9-11 a.m.
Why: Over the past 50 years, Clear Creek’s Front Yard, also known as Floyd Hill Meadow, has been threatened by high density development. Now, our community has the chance to save this area by conserving it forever!
Saving our front yard means:
- the area will forever remain a meadow;
- wildlife habitat and corridors are permanently protected;
- the protection of valuable water sources;
- unobstructed views of Colorado’s majestic mountain peaks and wilderness areas.
To permanently protect this area, Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) needs to raise $50,000 to conserve the meadow in perpetuity. Learn more!
